How To Find The Coffee Shop

How To Find Sweethart's Coffee Shop

Sweetharts Coffee Shop is at the heart of the Blackhill community, centrally located on Durham Road, which is the main throughfair between Consett and Newcastle via "the low road".

The coffee shop is situated on the A691 and easily accessible by walking, cycling, car or public transport.

Situated approx. a mile outside of Consett we are a short walk from surrounding areas such as Shotley Bridge, 5 mins from Bridgehill and a short stroll for residents of Benfieldside and of course Blackhill.

You can't miss the coffee shop as we're right on the front street opposite Derwent Street, just down from the pelican crossing and just up from Tesco's Express.

Sweethart's is also a popular stop off point for cyclists enjoying the Coast to Coast cycle path which runs through Blackhill and continues down through Rowlands Gill, Gateshead and then onto Newcastle.

Parking

You can find a small public car across the road from the Bistro which is Free to use with a limit of upto 2 hours and located just off Derwent Street. There is also on-street parking widely available in surrounding streets close by the Coffee shop which is also free for upto two hours.

Public Transport

Its easy to reach Sweethart's by public transport and a bus stop is a couple of metres away from our front door. You just ask for St Andrews Church bus stop or you can use the stop ID: duragptp. The bus routes using this stop include 45 Red Kite, X45 Red Kite,819, 820, 821, 827 and X15 all operated by Go North East.
